My name is MOHAMMED MOHSIN; am honored to introduce myself as an Avian Consultant and Conservationist specializing in breeding birds. I’m a contributing volunteer and adviser for zoos, and bird hobbyist. I’ve been involved in bird care and breeding for a number of years. “It is a hobby I fell in love with as a child in my dreams”.

I have a lifelong passion for birds, with a particular interest in parrots and endangered species. My dedication and concern towards conserving birds (a far more perfect flying machine than ever conceived by man) pursued me to do more research and Internship in the Dutch Parrot Refuge, based in the Netherlands. Besides, I have done projects in Mysore Zoo and Dutch Parrot Refuge.

My early years were spent visiting zoos in India, studying and documenting birds in captivity and breeding birds. Have participated in bird rescue and rehabilitation with Animal Welfare Organizations; have been giving advice on conservation to local bird hobbyist, zoos and worked as a volunteer in one of the best zoos in India.

My mission of saving the bird species is four pronged – Learn, Acquire, Multiply and Preserve – “LAMP”. In addition to engage in some research and experimentation to determine which aviculture practices will accomplish that best. This experience has afforded me some unique insights into these fascinating species and has drawn the attention of the media on several occasions at both the International and National levels.

I’m the designer of an Award-winning website, author of Wild Wings – a book on diseases of birds and also contributed for many pet publications, including the American Federation of Aviculture Watchbird Journal, Parrot Society of Australia, Euro-PARROT and Leeuvarder Vogelvrienden of The Netherlands and Pet India.

With my natural talent and love for birds, along with valuable internship and work experience with highly regarded Doctors and Bird Curators in Europe and Asia, I’m extremely passionate and determined to promote wellbeing of birds and their conservation.
